Ronald A. Schaupeter, Founder
Biography:
- Acquired BBA with major in accounting from Eastern Michigan University, 1970.
- Worked for a major Tool & Die Company in Detroit area in various positions culminating in 1983. Last position held was Design & Engineering Manager with responsibility for all facets including quoting, delivery schedules, customer interface, quality, and P & L for the division.
- Founded International Design Corporation in 1983. Located originally in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, IDC as it became known specialized in mechanical design for stamping die design and in automation and material handling.
"In 1987, IDC was successful in acquiring ‘source code’ from Calma Corporation and formed a computer programming division to write software specifically for mechanical design of stamping dies. The success of this event allowed IDC to leap frog to the head of the industry providing CAD Design and Engineering with a quality, timeframe, and pricing previously unavailable in the industry."
